Barbara Mattoon is a genealogist, family historian, world traveler, photographer, writer, mother, grandmother, gardener, friend and volunteer. Washington has been her lifelong home except for brief sojourns in San Diego, California, Fort Worth, Texas, and Jacksonville, Arkansas. Her mother’s family came to Washington State from Missouri about 1906, her father’s family came to the Yakima Valley from Norway via Nebraska in 1912, and her husband’s family came to Washington Territory in 1864.
Barbara is the President of the South King County Genealogical Society.
